Five weeks working on your advanced skills with hand building - create and connect around clay. If you already know the basics, hone your technique and extend your creativity with the guidance of this master potter. Materials supplied.

Clay Modelling, An Introduction - with Ilona

Thursdays, 20th March - 17th April
5:30pm - 7:30pm

Across five weeks, Ilona will introduce the art of forming clay by hand. Students will be taught to understand the basic nature of clay, how to manipulate, shape and decorate it to bring a sculpture to life. By spontaneously arranging modelled figures, whether human or animal, or plants and things, the students learn to create their own scenarios, and there are no limits on creativity!

Expressions in Clay: Portrait Sculpture - with Ilona

Fridays, 21st March - 18th April
10am - 12pm

In this five-week workshop, Ilona will guide you through the art of portrait sculpture, exploring how to shape and capture the essence of a face in clay. Whether you choose to create a self-portrait or sculpt someone else, you will learn fundamental techniques for modelling facial features, proportions, and expression. This class is perfect for beginners and those with some experience who want to deepen their understanding of sculpting the human form. No prior experience is needed, everyone is welcome!

Wheel Throwing 101 with Juan

Saturdays, 22nd March - 19th April
9am - 12pm

Wheel throwing 101 (beginners) - five weeks working on your basic skills. Start making simple pots, learning the basic techniques of wheel throwing, bisque firing and glazing. Materials supplied.

Mosaic Short Course with Amanda

Saturdays, 17th - 31st May
1pm - 3:30pm

Create a small mosaic plaque, house number or mirror using a variety of materials such as tiles, crockery, mirror and mosaic tesserae. This hands-on short course of 3 x 2.5 hour classes will enable you to experience the joy of mosaic design and application. You will learn how to use glass and tile cutters, adhesives, grout, and the many surfaces one can mosaic onto. Materials are supplied. BYO Artist sketch book/Arts diary
