We have the support of a wonderful group of volunteers who help with a range of things around the centre including supporting programs, as well as gardening, maintenance and day to day operations.
Boys Only Barbecue is a social program for men who come together for a chat and a barbecue lunch. BOB runs fortnightly on Mondays, 11am to 1pm, and we are looking for a volunteer to help support the running of the program. Responsibilities include shopping for lunch items (basic barbecue stuff), cooking and serving lunch for up to 15 men.
General volunteers helps out with a range of tasks around the Centre, including program set-up, watering, general tidying of spaces, as well as supporting preparation for special events and programs. This volunteer position would suit someone looking for a few hours on one or more days per week.
Have repair or mending skills and enjoy meeting others in the community? We are looking for people with skills in fixing household items – particularly electricals and textiles & clothing – to join us as Repairers. Our Repair Café happens on the first Saturday of the month between February and November, 12pm to 3pm
